Ending Veteran Homelessness

SVdPSP enrolled a homeless disabled U.S. Army Veteran to our Supportive Services for Veteran Families program (SSVF), who had been living in an abandoned building for over two years. With the assistance of our Case Manager, the Veteran was linked to VA for healthcare services and was assisted by our SSVF housing program staff in obtaining a one bedroom apartment in Tampa. The Veteran had no social support and had not spoken with his children in over 15 years, partly due to his homeless status. Once housed, the Veteran reconnected with his two children and recently had his son visit him at his apartment. The Veteran could not be happier to be reunited with his family and maintains a well-kept apartment where he feels safe and is able to pay his bills on time. This happens every day here at St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas, Inc. Ending Veteran Homelessness, one Veteran at a time. ‪#‎SVdPSP‬‪#‎EndingVeteranHomelessness‬ ‪#‎Veterans‬ ‪#‎SSVF‬ ‪#‎USARMY‬ #SVdP
